We’ll it’s a new year and we’re hitting the ground running (or air flying, I don’t know which.) I’m really looking forward to the next few months. We have so many cool things coming down the pike and I’ll do my best to keep you guys posted. New series are coming out, new venues are opening up, and I’ve started working on a new book that we hope will be finished sometime this year!
This weekend I’m off to Reno, NV. I’ll be at the Riverview Adventist Church Friday night and all day Saturday. Please join us if you can and if not, please keep this weekend covered in prayer. I can tell the difference when you guys are out there praying.
Also, you can now find Renewed Heart Ministries and me both on Facebook and Twitter. (Yes, as if I didn’t have enough to keep on top of already, RHM has embraced the world of Twitter, thanks Grant!) You can find the links to each of the accounts and users on our homepage.
The website was updated the beginning of this month, if you haven’t had a chance to listen to this month’s sermon I would encourage you to take the time:
What About The Bible?
Have you ever wrestled with what many find to be a significant difference between some the pictures we get of God from certain passages in the Bible with the beautiful picture of God we get when we look at Jesus? One example of this is the difference many see between the Old Testament God and Jesus. This month I’d like to offer you a presentation I gave last October in the series The Jesus Dialogue. Jesus is our significant clue, not simply to God’s existence, but to God’s character as well. He is the lens through which we are to go back and reread everything else in the Scriptures. Jesus had those same Old Testament stories growing up, but somehow He perceived a radically different picture of God than most of us get from them. This month, I want to offer, as our gift to you, the presentation entitled What About The Bible? It is my prayer that your heart will thrill as you begin to see God afresh or maybe even for the very first time.
Hope to see you in Reno,
With All His love (and mine too),
